Here and there.
Sometimes I struggle to find places for the photos I take. Our personal photos often end up in one big folder per month, and it’s hard to keep them all straight. I’m sure I should organize them by specific date or place, but I don’t have the energy sometimes. I find myself using the same memory card over a couple days, and once I finally dump it onto the computer, it’s a lump of chaos on my harddrive.
These are some odds and ends that didn’t really fit elsewhere.
I posted about Ella’s hard, hard life last week and briefly mentioned Bianca (pictured above). She’s a little less careful, a little more feisty, carries a few extra pounds, and will scuffle with anyone about anything. We love her anyway. In that picture, she’s watching Brian with a little too much interest because it was about dinner time.
I hardly ever get a grammatically correct fortune cookie these days, so I would have photographed it just for that. (None of those numbers have been lucky this week, though.)
That last one is a leftover from our trip to DC at the end of May. This is pretty representative of our trips together; Brian focusing on the performing arts, me focusing on the visual. Luckily, Brian has gotten used to the sound of the shutter, and just blocks me out when I’m running around with my camera.
In other news, my blog basically exploded on Tuesday, and I about doubled the all-time traffic to my site. I got around 3,500 new visitors, and promptly emailed everyone I thought would care because I really want to be popular. I think it might be because that Kimbra at SXSW video was just really, really good, but I’m going to tell myself that I’m a minor celebrity now. (You agree, right?)

Every time I look at your photos I find it totally amazing that you have the ability to see something artful and beautiful in something that I may see on any average day and not even notice.
